Humanism is a progressive philosophy of life that, without theism and other supernatural beliefs, affirms our ability and responsibility to lead ethical lives of personal fulfillment that aspire to the greater good of humanity.

Humanist Celebrants conduct secular, nonreligious and interreligious weddings, memorials, baby naming, and other life-cycle ceremonies. Endorsed by the Humanist Society, adjunct of the American Humanist Association, and as a Jackson Hole Wedding Officiant, I perform ceremonies in the Greater Yellowstone Region and even country-wide.

WHY a Humanist wedding?

No two paths of love are the same. Lay down your own bricks with a Humanist Wedding Celebrant. Although many traditional weddings are tied to religious practices, more and more couples are opting to unify with each other in a nonreligious way. Humanist Celebrants are well trained to officiate a wide range of nonreligious wedding ceremonies and vow renewals for any couple wanting to celebrate their love. The wedding is truly unique - the venue, time, and decor are all up to you. No two weddings are exactly the same, but all of them share a common thread: they embody the values of the couple.

What is a Celebrant?

A humanist Celebrant (AKA wedding officiant) serves one sole purpose: to provide you with the most authentic, sincere, and poignant start to married life - all without reference to religion. Celebrants can be as involved, or uninvolved as you would like. They can help with aspects of planning, such as writing the vows, suggesting the ceremony, picking out a location and time. Celebrants also serve the role of clergy in traditional weddings. they ensure that what matters most to you, your love for one another, is what shines on your wedding day.
